In a warm and open atmosphere, we talked about how everyday racism works, how we can strengthen each other and what common steps are necessary to promote diversity and respect. They have particularly emphasized Grandmothers against the Right, how important intergenerational encounters are: The experiences they have had in their own lifetime should not be forgotten. At the same time, they were keen to understand what young people are experiencing today, especially in a very diverse society.

The young people have openly reported on their own experiences with racism. They have made it clear how important it is to actively combat racism, to inform oneself and to be part of awareness-raising ‑ and education work. The event offered many impulses, new perspectives and plenty of space for personal exchange. The presentation was conducted by Ogulcan Yumusat and Anja Obendorfer.

A heartfelt thank you to all who were there and enriched this evening with their contributions!
