Show us your Bielefeld

Show us your Bielefeld

Open city walk

How do people experience Bielefeld from different perspectives?
How differently are the same places perceived and used in our city?

On an open city walk ‘Show me your Bielefeld!’ Invite the Kunsthalle Bielefeld, the educational institution Einschlingen and the IBZ Friedenshaus e.V. to meet, exchange and new perspectives.

Together we make our way through the city – from the Kunsthalle to the IBZ Friedenshaus. On the way, creative impulses set conversations in motion: about personal favorite places, everyday experiences and living together in Bielefeld. The aim is to make different perspectives visible and to get into conversation with each other.

The evening ends at the IBZ Friedenshaus in a relaxed atmosphere with a meal together from saved food.

We are about 90 minutes on the way, the paths between the individual stations are about 10 minutes each.

To the project ‘Building bridges – creative and sustainable’

How can people come into contact with each other who hardly meet in everyday life? How do we create spaces in which different perspectives can become visible and social cohesion can grow?

The project Building bridges – creative and sustainable is a cooperation between the educational institution Einschlingen, the IBZ Friedenshaus e.V. and the Kunsthalle Bielefeld. The aim is to bring people from different backgrounds together through common interests.

For this purpose, easily accessible, practice-oriented educational offers in the fields of cultural education and education for sustainable development are developed and tested. The project helps people to get in touch with each other beyond their usual social groups, to reduce prejudices and to get to know new perspectives.

Building bridges contributes to an open, solidarity-based urban society and to strengthening social cohesion and democracy.
