Brücken bauen: Saz meets Pousane

Saz meets trombone - music, encounter and an unusual taste What happens when Saz and trombone meet? Two instruments that at first glance come from very different musical worlds – and yet have a lot to tell each other. At our bridge building workshop “Saz meets trombone” we bring together Alevi and Protestant musical traditions. Together we want to make music, experience each other and discover which stories, memories and cultural meanings are connected with the instruments. Awaz Barış accompanies us with the Saz through the afternoon. Sonja Ramsbrock introduces us to the trombone and its significance in the Protestant tradition and gives insights into the joint musical work with children, young people and adults. And because meeting doesn't just work through music, let's start with a little culinary surprise: ‘Sauerkraut meets Kimchi’. Participants are also invited to bring their own musical tasting. A workshop to listen, try out, share and make music together – and maybe it will create a whole new tone.
