Solidarität statt Abschottung – Vortrag zur neuen EU‑Asylpolitik

On 23 June 2026**, the International Meeting Centre (IBZ) Bielefeld invites you to a lecture with Dr. Kerem Schamberger (medico international)**. Under the title **‘Solidarity instead of foreclosure! The new EU asylum policy and its consequences’** he highlighted the impact of the reform of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS).

The reform adopted in June 2026 ‘reinforces Europe’s foreclosure policy – fundamental rights of those seeking protection come under pressure’.
The presentation gives an insight into the situation at the European external borders and reports ‘on violence, militarisation and deadly flight routes, but also on solidarity and resistance’**.
